This actually makes a lot of sense. Besides a few places like Sliders and Pickles, there are not a lot things to do around the stadiums before or after games. Obviously Ravens fans know how to tailgate so that's a little different than baseball fans that might be more apt to come down if there were a series of sports bars and entertainment  establishments around the stadium.

Agreed. If it takes 3.5 million just to move the LF wall back 30 feet I can only imagine the price tag for major renovations.

ANd remember, this is also for M&T.  It’s a big number but the money probably doesn’t go as far as we think it does.

They're going to make a fence that automatically reconfigures dimensions between at bats.  It'll be 385 to the power alleys one minute, 355 the next.

You could almost build a shelter that connects the Ravens and O's playing fields with that kind of money. Maybe that's the area where the gambling would take place!

If it wasn't for the Horseshoe Casino, I'd say his is a very real possibility. What I think will happen if it's allowed is there will be some from of sports betting at both stadiums.

I wonder if they would cut some deal with Horseshoe as a cross-promotion? I have zero interest in gambling, but it does make me wonder.

They may not be happy but it is going to happen.  It was fought for when the passed the law that all three sports stadiums in the state would be allowed to get a sports gambling license.  I doubt they allow and kind of other gambling at the stadiums but a sportsbook of some kind will be at both Camden Yards and M&T.
