I think he hangs out on waiver for a week.  He was dfa'd on 4/3.

The only advantage Harvey has over these guys is that he doesn’t cost a 40-man roster spot right now.   These others would.   But obviously Harvey would cost a spot later if we elevated him to the majors.   

What’s the story on a suspension?   Maybe the plan is just to keep him working out until the suspension plays out, then use him as depth in the second half?

No one else is going to let him near their team so at least the Orioles have all the leverage in how they use him. His only other option is retire, basically. He's gonna take forever to build up so we won't have to worry about him for awhile. And it's gonna take an injury or some real ineffectiveness to get him on the roster, before or after any suspension.

This feels like a Hyde favor. We know how much he liked Harvey last year. For Elias he gets a guy who could absorb innings in an emergency. But it's really hard to see anybody getting DFAd in favor of Harvey. 

Maybe if a deadline trade or two opens up 40man spots. Dunno

Severe head whack, animated high effort delivery…neither one is a good trait, especially for a starter. Has had a run of bad injury red flags. I like the hard slider and the curve, but that profile doesn’t look promising to me.

Ivey cleared waivers as well.  I guess we're good with the Watkins' and Harvey's.
