Fascinating in depth interview with Billy Ripken on.  Anyone else see it.  Good to hear his insight on Cal and Sr.  Valuable insight on how Sr. treated everyone different.  What worked for one guy wasn't going to work for another.  His father told him "You can't be your brother."

No one could help baseball players A-Z better than Sr., according to Billy.  He could help make someone better whether they were a Hall of Fame player or last man on the roster.

I heard it said before that the reason the O's minors took a nosedive was that Sr. left. Obviously they should have had systems and people in place to take over, but Sr. was a do everything kind of guy.

It was before my time, but when Sr. was in the minors was he like a roving instructor?

He seemed like he was pretty good with the glove (at least in my memories).  I think he hit about like Owings though.

Owings’ career OPS+ is actually a little higher than Billy’s. But very close.

Billy was and is a hoot. Incredibly entertaining.
