Has anyone checked out the hangout Facebook page lately? Most posters there make me want to create a twitter account to get some good posts and intelligence. Seriously people that post there give this place a bad name.

I signed up for the group because I thought it was associated w/ this Hangout.  Hard to find a more emotional, less informed group of baseball fans.  Let's just say the "worst" posters here would be the best posters over there.  People there actually thought that Mancini could be traded for multiple top prospects including a best prospect in baseball.

I can’t speak about Facebook, but Twitter is full of terrible baseball takes from Orioles fans.

I used to reply on the FB page occasionally, but hardly ever start conversations there. At some point in the Spring, I noticed the caption "closed for further commenting" on every thread, so I wasn't sure if the problem was on my end or if it was a FB glitch. So I just unfollowed the page from that point onward. This is home. FB over there just seems a disconnected loose conglomeration of strangers and nowhere near as "family" as this original forum. I think the only really interesting thing I'd see there is how locals perceive what's going on.

Anything that puts a penny In Zuckerberg ‘s pocket I will not do, so I will never get involved with horrible FB.  Well maybe if he promises to get a real haircut instead of an at home bowl cut, I will give $5.

Facebook itself is a cesspool, got rid of it years ago and haven't missed it.  If anyone is on the fence, I would encourage you to do it.

On the information superhighway, it's like a stretch of 95 in Florida with tacky billboards for personal injury attorneys, gentleman's clubs and fast food joints on either side of the highway with neon lights.

That, and you're driving on 95 in a big van full of people you haven't seen in person since 1996 or 2007 or 2017. They're all 40-90 years old. All of them are constantly talking over each other telling you how awesome they, their kids and their dogs are, and how they're constantly doing awesome stuff.  And making sure you know the sports teams they follow are way better than everyone else's and that you should definitely care about them.

Oh, and they're randomly interjecting news and scores from three days ago.

And they only go to games so they can take pictures of the ballpark food and post them for all to see.
