Looks like we are going to again be proactive in the rule 5 draft especially in light of the ridiculous free agent market, lots of good possibilities to be had on this front. Here's an interesting discussion on the topic:

To me, this means the Orioles have a few guys they would take in the draft. Given we aren't a top pick this year, there's no certainties that one of them will be available. If I had to bet, I would still wager on us picking someone.

As I said in another thread, Matt Gorski would be a great pick. Power, speed, can get on base, can backup multiple OF spots and 1B. Only box he doesn't check is that he's not a lefty. He's major league ready and would help us win in 2023.

We have enough IF/OF depth now. I think we bring in a bet for C. I could see us take a SP/RP to use in relief. But carrying a rule 5 guy really limits all the roster maneuvering we require.

I think a pitcher is the only pick that would make any sense here if they find someone they think they can tweak and turn into a solid bullpen piece maybe.

I think we should go bullpen. Or more likely a SP who profiles as a RP in the big leagues. Somebody with big stuff to drink whatever magic potion Cionel Perez had.

I like both of those guys but I think Lopez may be more ready than Enright. I could see Lopez being productive out of the pen in 2023.

Enright has great numbers and reached AAA in 2022. Minor league career #s are rather good, 200 K and 35 W in 141.2 IP. 

Lopez gets the nod for me as he is LH.

I think it’s the other way around.  Enright is more polished but Lopez is a little more intriguing.
