Agreed, it was a grooved pitch, but if everyone had that amount of power in BP I doubt they'd have that many windows out there in right field.

Absolutely.   The AA manager said it in not so many words.

Given the way our other bats have performed in Bowie and how focused he seems right now, that might be worth a few trips to see the fireworks.

There's nothing I love more than a beefy left-handed power hitter in the middle of the lineup. I hope he moves quick because the team could really use this kind of (alleged) bat.

He's doing great against AA and AAA pitchers which is a good sign for him at Bowie.   I'd like to see him get a start against an actual ML pitcher.   I still remember Joey Ortiz with a solid AB against Pittsburgh's closer, Bednar.   That's a real test!

I think there is little doubt he starts the year in Bowie. This year should tell us a lot about him. He clearly has his strength back, he's out of the Sally League (still seems weird to say that about Aberdeen) hitter hell, and AA is usually the place where you can really get an idea of what kind of major league hitter a prospect will become. 

He's had a great spring, but more importantly, we hope to see a great April and May and beyond. Pretty impressive so far for sure though.

He's gotta go on the 40-man after this season to avoid the Rule-5, so I think they need to see if he can sink or swim at a higher level. I can't imagine they'd start him below AA to begin this season.
