I have to say that I’m starting to warm to the idea of Hicks staying on the team even after Mullins comes back. He can take Varva or McKenna’s place. Unlike Varva, he actually does some things well.

This makes me soooooo happy, was really beginning to worry, the way the pitching had gotten toward the end of last week. 

Perhaps was just a matter of bad bullpen management through that stretch of games
