Yeah, the description was pretty bad and I had no clue also, but when he said his first home run was off Mariano I guess I have always remembered that for some reason. Thought maybe Palmer would have also.

It looks like Mateo took a ball first pitch that was called a strike and so he just gave up in the AB. Swung and missed by at least a foot.
