I understand and agree . Some posters are paranoid about rentals like Sherzer . They don’t care if his cost is lower than say , a Skubal or a Crochet. But let Elias worry about all that -

No matter what his stats are now, his last year proves he is high risk and therefore can't be trusted. His price will also be a lot higher. We have the assets to get someone who is more dependable. -

This is regarding Quantrill. He's not that #3 we need, but a solid #4/5: I have mentioned Eovaldi before as a #3 option. FA after the season, so the cost will be less for the rental than other options. He was HUGE for the Rangers last season. -

They wont and we wont be trading AS or RM. Seattle wont break up their ML Pitching and we wont break up our ML offense. This is offseason stuff. They will pick up some additions at the deadline, but wont be from us. Even with their shit offense , not a team I want to see later on ,these guys can pitch -
Some O's prospects are only mid-tier because they are in the O's farm system. I saw a comment from a pundit who said Beavers would be the #1 prospect in a number of other team's farm systems right now. Not sure if I believe that or not, but I do believe Beavers, etc. are undervalued because of the quality of our top tier of prospects.
