I think Ortiz comes up before Holliday. He hasn't been to AAA yet and you know how they feel about getting AB's at every level of the organization.

As much as I'd personally like to see Holliday up, he probably will not be. I'm perfectly fine with Ortiz.

But nobody has accounted for Hall, who I think will be here as well. The bullpen is about to get really frickin good with the additions of Means, Hall, and Wells.

I think with late season additions you would be looking for a special attribute. Kjerstad has the late game pinch hit attribute.

I'm predicting a third catcher is added, but hope I'm wrong.

Predictions (not necessarily what I would do):

Cowser to AAA for Hicks.

Vespi to AAA for Hall once Hall is deemed ready.

September 1: Means and Ortiz added. Means starting on September 1. Ortiz starting SS v. LHP in September and playoffs (if he hits enough in September).

Wells continues starting in AAA/AA through the end of August. If he’s needed in the rotation before then he comes up, otherwise he stays in the minors. He’s converted to a RP around September 1 when Means goes into the rotation; he’ll be a RP in the playoffs and will need some adjusting period. To make space if needed, Irvin is optioned or Webb or Perez are DFA’d.

Baker will be next man up in the pen for injuries but they won’t option Irvin or DFA Webb/Perez for him unless they do poorly.

Coloumbe won’t be back this year, but if he is and everybody else is healthy then the weakest performing RP gets voted off the island (optioned or DFA’d if no options).

We don’t see Voth, Givens or Akin again unless injuries make them desperate.

I could see Bradish or Grayson getting optioned for the minimum 10 days to skip a start at some point, but don’t necessarily expect it. I could also see Cano or Baumann optioned for 10 days to give them rest, but only if their performance slips so I expect that even less. 

Cowser and Kjerstad don’t come up unless there are injuries.

A bulk RP and a complimentary bat. 

Kind of too soon to know what our needs will be 6 weeks from now though.  Especially considering the fringe of the roster rotates as needed even on the current 26-man.

Fuji is going to have to pitch a lot better than he has so far to stay on the O's 28 man roster.

The fastball is exciting but the walks and homer aren't.
