I don't agree. They have some value. It's not much but both are at least MLB bullpen pieces on some teams who are still cheap and can give you length.

Every team has guys like them or you can get guys like them off of waivers for nothing. Why would you give up value to get them?

Guys like these are traded every year. I said they didn't have much value but they could fetch cash or maybe even international slot $. I think Wells is more than a waiver claim and at least one GM gave up a low-level prospect for Irvin. There might be a second one out there.

We got Irvin for AAA filler. I don't think his value has changed since. Wells has more value but not by a whole lot. He's 28 and hasn't shown an ability to start a full season's worth of innings. He's probably best as a swing guy.

How has Irvin’s value not changed? He went from 180 innings per year and a 4.10ish ERA avg over 2 seasons tonbarely being able to hold a Ml spot this year.  Of course his value has gone down and by a lot.

That’s no value. You aren’t dumping him for cash considerations or slot money. No value is another way of saying, a team isn’t going to give you anything that would make you consider trading him.

I guess I should have been more specific, if we got AAA filler for him in the offseason we aint getting more than that now.
