Do you care what Adam Frazier has to say?

20 minutes Glenn Clark interview:

He says he hasn’t ruled out that the O’s would want him back “in a different role.”  He certainly didn’t seem to think it was likely.  Said Jackson Holliday “will have a huge impact” and Jordan Westburg “is a really good player.”

He was one of the players who showed up for the Brooks Robinson memorial service.   Didn’t know that.

Just trying to make it interesting.  I listened to the whole thing.  I’m guessing not too many people will take the time.

I will say this if Elias feels the need to have a token veteran infielder on the team next season you can do worse than Adam Frazier. I'm thinking this is no longer a need with players like Ortiz, Westburg, Norby and now Holliday's meteoric rise through the farm system.

I thought he was ok for the majority of the year, but faded badly. He was probably overpaid. He was 1.7 WAR on Baseball Ref and only .3 on Fangraphs. (I guess those are rWAR and fWAR respectively.) He won some games for us, and had some surprising power, and some really pro at bats. Just under a .700 OPS.

I liked Frazier well enough as a dude, and it was fun when he did noteworthy stuff, which he did at times. Unfortunately, he ended up the guy we basically were worried about with just horrendous defensive metrics.

I like that he had nice things to say. I don't think there's any way he's back unless it's a minor league deal.
