I'll always be fond of the guy. He came to my high school back in 2008 on some sort of career day-like event and was very kind/patient to an 18-year-old me, who desperately wanted to be a journalist. That being said, the whole posting streak shtick was...tired at best.

I don’t personally care about his streak but a lot of people engage in his comments section. Just because it doesn’t appeal to most of us doesn’t mean it has no meaning for a bunch of good Os fans. I like Roch just fine and I don’t envy some of the BS he has to deal with, same with the Os broadcasters.

The streak was somewhere around 5,661 but appears to be ending today.

I don't understand what this tweet is alleging. Because the team was sold he's not allowed to write about anything Orioles-related? MLB hasn't approved the deal yet but Rubenstein has already gotten around to firing Roch Kubatko? Can someone more enlightened fill me in?

That's not the case. Last night he posted:

"Hey friends, just an FYI, and spread the word cause I know it's late, that I won't be filing tomorrow. The streak is over. Won't go into details but the fact that I was unable to file a story tonight has led me to take a little break here. Will reconnect soon."

and then an hour later posed:

"I'll be back here. Just didn't want everyone wondering what the heck happened tomorrow morning"
