McDermott pitched today and lasted one third of an inning.

What is going on with him?  He looked so sharp earlier in the year and now he just looks lost at a time when our depth is being tested.

I was there. It was the first baseball game that I've walked out on in years. Tides had the lead, then Durham put up something like 8 runs in an inning and we left in the 8th or so. 

A bit depressing that the AAA team and the big league team get blown out like that on the same day (I was tracking the O's on my phone at the game).

Plus we got soaked by a crazy violent rainstorm before play even started. Just an overall loser of a day. At least the rain cooled things off. It's been over 100 this week where I live.

Good thing we had Irvin as a long man than what we had before. I don’t think Vespi would’ve eaten 4 IP and we would’ve had to use 1-2 extra relievers. 

Now onto the not so good… Irvin couldn’t get outs in the best matchup in MLB. Facing Oakland in that ballpark.

I think with what Irvin did yesterday that option closed.

In the same game that Povich couldn’t make it out of first inning . Disappointing day , to say the least
