I think you're looking into it a bit much. He didn't start the first game against the Yankees, anyways.

You can situationally use Mateo on the basepaths when needed

Is something physically wrong with Treviño?  As of two days ago he’d allowed 19 SB all year and thrown out 9.  Very respectable. Then the last two days.  That’s crazy.
