Hays is a well-known fastball feaster.    Gil passes Jim Palmer's standard as a fastball pitcher in a league where those kind of guys are losing market share.

I think the Urias 3B/Westberg 2B is a good call today.   Ramon has been hitting all recently and Mateo has been struggling a bit.   Not a big drop defensively, either.   It would be good to have Mateo causing havoc on the base paths,  though.

I like the lineup except having Hays in there instead of Cowser.

I would prefer Cowser over Hays but I don't think there is anything to go crazy about here.

Mateo can always be used later in the game if his running ability is needed in the later innings. I'd rather see Urias get the start today with the way he's been hitting.

Hilarious at common sense winning out.  You forgot the part where he's only got 16 at bats in the PCL to put up that whopping .375 OPS.  But keep hoisting that up like it means something, don't forget to take a break when your arms get tired.

Trevino catching again.  I would have had Mateo in there just to cause havoc on the basepaths.  Or at least have Mullins in front of Henderson.  Don't want a slug like Urias clogging up the basepaths.
