The Yankees pitchers have hit 40 batters to the Orioles 24 batters this year. And O’s batters have been hit 32 times to the Yankees 25 times. There’s nothing wrong with what he said as nobody likes to get hit, but the Yankees are the ones who clearly like to pitch in. Hopefully his feelings aren’t too hurt.

What's more - in the head to head matchup this year: Yankees have now hit 7 Orioles compared to 3 Yankees being hit by Orioles.

Surprised more is not made about their catcher kicking Cowser's bat at him and then being totally chill a second later. What a maroon.

Peeking ahead a little to the next series, I am learning today the Sunday 7/14 game is an 1135am scheduled start.

It will be an interesting contrast between a ballplayer's natural instinct to crave the All-Star break, and two top rivals playing a big game.

You'd be pissed if you gave up NINE STOLEN BASES in a single game and then the Orioles come to town and ran all over you, too.

Too bad he probably won't be behind the plate this afternoon.

Mike Bordick did 10 minutes with Bob Haynie from ~2:00 to ~12:00 of this 13.5 minute video.

Aaron Judge HBP he felt in part because bats all over baseball committing too soon, which I guess is an occupational hazard of trying to get Driveline velocities out in front so you can elevate and celebrate.

I'm not buying on his take the mid-May 1998 brawl was a "turning point" after the Orioles of 1996-1997 matched the Yanks.     The '98 Yankees to be had already blown out the Orioles by about 12 games when the fight occurred.

Repping for middle infielders, Bordick praised Mateo for a good tag play on Adley's caught stealing.

I like how we are having success against Clay Holmes. Past two games he has pitched 2 innings and given up 4 hits, 3 earned runs and a homer. It's nice knowing later on in the season they have been able to extend his innings.
