We knew they had a speedster with a zero bat in the 9 hole. 

We knew a guy off the street could steal 2nd off of Burnes. 

We knew the sum of those scenarios would result in Better Gunnar knocking in a KC run. 

And we knew Ragans would get his shot at redemption. Six basically perfect innings. 

And our bats were just limp. No tenacity, no snap, no fight. 

As far as I’m concerned, just go quietly tomorrow and don’t prolong it for those of us that care. Just let the guillotine fall on the 2024 season and let’s start fresh in February. 

Couldn’t score ONE MF’ING RUN tonight. Sionara, O’s fans.

They will win tomorrow and get everyone’s hopes up just to lose 1-0 or 2-1 on Thursday. That would be such a Baltimore way to go out.

There’s a reason why there were pockets of empty seats for a playoff game. This team has no fight or grit or tenacity….especially in October.

This team just isn't the same after dealing with so many injuries.  The confidence or whatever mojo they had is just still missing even though most of the injured bats have returned.  

Apart from that, Gunnar doesn't have good career numbers against Ragans.  As a whole the team's numbers are ok against him though not specatacular.  Yet Adley has great career numbers against Ragans, but for whatever reason Adley is not the same player these days.

My script was Burnes going 6 2/3 but giving up a random HR with a runner on and we lose 2-1 because we couldn’t hit. Somehow it was worse than that.

If I had an opportunity to "script" this game, I would have had us winning it...lol

But yes today's outcome was very predictable given how the last 3 and 1/2 months of this season have gone.
