"Down on the farm, Kevin Gausman tossed five scoreless innings today for Triple-A Norfolk. He allowed four hits, walked two and struck out four. He threw 74 pitches, 48 for strikes.

The Orioles clearly have him on a pitch count early in the season. Saving those bullets for the bigs, as they say."

If the rotation, besides Tillman, doesn't start giving us more than 5 innings, he should be promoted. Our BP can't give us 12 outs every day. Of course, who does he replace?

A guy who can't go more than 5 innings in triple a is going to help solve that problem?

Of course, Gausman has yet to pitch more than 5 innings, so how is he going to help, exactly? He's being held back to save some innings for later, but I'd have to think they'd want him to go 6+ a few times in Norfolk.

He's on a pitch count bud.

We'll until his pitch count is 110 he can't start in the majors. Let us know when he gets there until then post this in the minor leagues forum.

I will post where i want too. He's on a pitch count to save innings.
