Yes sir. That was special and in a different era, but man, the way these kids are slinging it…it’s kind of funny; however, Kremer made it known he doesn’t care about the stat, he only cares about the team picking up the win. It’s fun to see the change in the game in that fashion. What then is should be the best method/stat of evaluation? -

Yeah, I’m with you. If Mayo and Westburg are going to be in the lineup at the same time at 3B and OF, the Orioles are going to put them at the positions where they collectively contribute most positively defensively - and hard to imagine that being anything other than Westburg being at 3B. I don’t think Mayo will ever be a true everyday 3B with the Orioles, even if he is passable there. I think they have Mayo continuing to work on 3B because longer term it helps a lot if he can play there when one of Gunnar/Holliday/Westburg is out of the lineup or DHing for rest or injury. That could be something like 50 games a year that you can get a much better hitting bench bat in the lineup than a light hitting utility IF. And a lot of Mayo improving at 3B is transferable to playing at 1B - it’s just not a priority to give him a lot of 1B time right now while we have both Mountcastle and O’Hearn. -

Seemed more lucky than good last night. He's not looked great in the last two appearances. -
I don’t trust him one bit. Glad he’s doing well so far. Two pitch pitcher. The fastball is hittable and he lacks command of both pitches. So far so good.
