Disco Ball is a lady behind home plate who was there on opening day in Tampa. She wore a sparkly dress. So loud we began to rag her on the opening day thread. She showed up yesterday in the same dress. Today she is in a green sparkly dress with a pink top.

She brings the Orioles good luck.

2nd from the left of that Crown sign?

Letting kids announce the players is just so minor leagues. I dont think it has place in Major league ball.

I agree and I dont like Ball boys or girls that cant catch and the O's have them all the time. I saw some team had a 70 year old ball boy the other day and he fell and almost broke a hip.

I couldn't agree more. This has been driving me nuts over the past couple years. It's a slap in the face to the traditional announcers like Rex Barney and Bob Shepherd. I'm sure the both of them are up in heaven, shaking their heads.

Rex is probably saying, "give that (child) fan (announcing the game), a seat in the upper deck."
