I was hugely impressed by Jake tonight; far more so than Matusz on Friday night, FWIW. Feel terrible for the guy.

I said this earlier in this thread but the Met's broadcasters have been talking about how filthy Jake is all night long. His stuff has been awesome and he's pitched well. He deserves to be in the rotation and I think he's close to getting back in line with quality starts

I agree...he makes one mistake..albeit a bad one...Listen Dickeys not going to give up a run anyway tonight unless he comes out with some injury.This game was never winable.

We needed to keep it scoreless until the Mets pinch hit for Dickey.

I would have liked to see the "Randy Johnson" lineup in there tonight. Put all the scrubs in, see what happens. At the very worst, you don't throw your regulars' timing off for several days.
