Why send him? You have Manny up next? Dumb. Don't count your chickens before they hatch Orioles 1-5 when having a 3 run or more lead in the 3rd inning.

There a 3 in 10 chance MM gets a hit. You've already got a chance to send Snyder. Much higher chance of scoring.

Me neither, for two reasons: one, if the throw is off by a few feet or slow, he woulda been safe. Two, it gave us a chance to time Snyder from first to home in game conditions, which I think could be valuable information if he sticks as back-up catcher.

That throw was already off a few feet, the catcher had to swipe back and didn't have too hard of a time doing it. Snyder looks to have two spepeeds, Wieters and Slow. Good organization should know what his speed is like anyway.

It helps that Morneau smashed it so hard that he was barely around first when the ball caromed off the wall. But Morneau knows that park and that wall, a noodle harmed RF had him dead to rights.
