I think one Tampa hitters have longer at bats than we have innings. Seriously, we look terrible when we make contact and we have terrible plate approaches. Every at bat is short and sweet.

Great pitching and timely hitting is dang near impossible to beat.. that's what we're facing right now.

Sorry. It's not great pitching. Both Archer and Hellickson have not been good this year. Hellickson has like a 6 ERA the last 1.5 months. People have been saying its just good pitching the last 5 games. Eventually, you come to figure out its just bad hitting, especially when we have faced 6 mediocre pitches these last 6 games (including today).

What does that have to do with anything? Thats 1 game vs the entire season. In the 51 games that Wieters have started, our ERA is 4.82. In the 10 games the backup catchers have caught, its under a 3 ERA.

Somebody has to lead the league. Why not us? Must it always be the Yankees or Red Sox? Of course, they do it by leading the league in on-base percentage, which is something we are not good at.

Not at all. We do kinda suck right now. But you're not using that to predict a slide to 90 losses and the beginning of another 4 year losing streak. So you're good.

Might be just me but I honestly don't think Gausman is pitching that poorly. The Rays have made some nice swings on some pretty good pitches and gotten a couple of bloopers which led to runs. Oh, and Zobrist just kills us...doesn't matter who is pitching. Not sure what our scouting report is on him, but whatever it is, we need to change it.
