I think the strikeouts are a coordination thing, the ability to put the bat on the ball, rather than swinging at junk. Sheriff and deputy are mirror images in that respect.

Reynolds swings at balls in the dirt all the time. I still state he is the worst player I have seen play regularly in the past 40 years.

FWIW, he has a career .843 OPS vs. LHP (.776 vs. RHP), if the O's are looking for a platoon DH bat. 29.2 K% RH, 33.7% LH.

His career numbers are about as relevant as Ty Cobb's.
