One bad pitch against Gordon screws it. And a bad call reversal by the umps, too.

Yeah too many walks again, but a couple better place GB's and minus that mistake it could have been a much different outcome. Oh well. You can tell Billy Butler looks like he may be starting to get hot now.

Alex Gordon hit one home run in his first 162 at-bats this season. He hit two in his last two at-bats.

Well, he only walked one but that one scored. He could have been sharper, but yes other than the HR there weren't too many hard hit balls off him.

Yeah, ok. Balls and baserunners then. Seemed like more walks. Plus they are all fast.

He wasn't bad at all. 7k's in 5 innings. Only 1 walk. Great ground ball percentage. He suffered from an extremely high BABIP and HR/FB% (he have up just 2 fly balls). He got screwed today. Just needs to keep pitching like he has been.

The Orioles are now 2-7 in games started by Jimenez.
True but most of that 2-7 is due to the poor April. I think the ratio is going to improve.

The Orioles also lost a game in which Jimenez pitched 7 shutout innings.

Jimenez' failure to complete that game cost the team.

He finds ways to lose games, one or another.

Birdland is onto something.

Totally unscientific rant here, but, listening to the game today, it seemed like every time he got ahead of the hitters, they hit 2-3 foul balls before the end result. To me, this points to his lack of velocity, his lack of being able to finish. It's hard to throw perfect pitches continuously. Sometimes, you need to be able to bring it to adjust the hitters thinking, even if you throw 95 above the shoulders.

Wow, man.. gotta give you credit it here. You analysis is correct here. Typically you bash everything.

Jimenez pitched a good game. Balls were going where defenders weren't and 1 mistake on a ball that you don't typically see Alex Gordon type player to turn on, did.
