I think he has a good shot at a MLB deal next spring. Depending of course on whom he signed with and how he performs the rest of the year.

They is the other guys, looks like we will have other options. But only because he chose to go with a ML deal. Not sure that's the wise choice for him with the year he's had but maybe he hasn't put everything behind him here.

I saw that, and immediately started looking for confirmation. Last night while watching the game, around 8:15 ish, they said that someone made Johnson an offer, and it was not the Orioles... I don't think my Blood Pressure could take anymore of those 9th inning adventures with Jim Johnson.

HBT is speculating that its a major league contract, which is why he passed on the Oriole's minor league deal.

I suspect the new team is putting him through medical tests before announcing the deal.
