He should probably get a game or 2 off though. His OPS has dropped about .150 points in no time. He has a lower OPS than last season. He should get it together but he looks like he needs a break. He is getting unlucky though. His K/BB rate is pretty normal lately for him but his BABIP is insanely low.

I'm not arguining he shouldn't get benched or rested.

Heck if it was me Nolan would be starting today.

I am just speaking the truth, Buck won't bench him and may not give him an extended rest.

Well at least he didn't walk him...

Had to leave the room. Not because of our inability to score but because my brothers think you should bunt Adam Jones with runners on first and second and no outs IN THE FIRST INNING. And then they think they're right because Adam lines into a double play. I'm surrounded by morons. Somebody help me.

Yes, they are cumulative, which means that innings in September matter. If they have 5 extra pitchers at their disposal in September, Buck can re-distribute innings to guys that won't be pitching in October.

Plus they have two off days over the next 12 days.

Jimenez will probably have about five starts before rosters expand. If he averages one fewer inning that Gonzalez during that time, that's five more innings for guys like Matusz and McFarland. I can live with that if it means there's a chance that Ubaldo can get into a groove.

No way he gets five starts pitching the way he is now and all year. He gets 2 really bad starts or 1 really and 2 just usual bad. If he doesnt show in a hurry what he showed last year , he goes to pen, imho.
