I wouldn't want him to re-injure his surgically repaired knee in the celebrations. But, I thought it very strange that he wouldn't be at the park, in a box or at least around his teammates on a historical night.

Yes, his recovery and initial rehab had to be done in California. He was scheduled to join the team today.

I am sure he could not predict when the Orioles would clinch and like a previous post stated he set to join the club today.....He was also gone before the end of the game. I am sure he called/texted his teammates and coaches and wishes he could be there!
