No.

And if he had lived, he would likely be facing jail time.

The Cardinals should able to see how this will be perceived by the public (particularly groups such as M.A.D.D.), and they are apparently choosing not to.

Most likely they will indeed say something and I bet the Cards will end up donating to them among others.
