In line for the win against a very good St. Louis team.

Keep it up Jake.

Seven Ks. Seven.

Arrieta, who missed the first month last season because of tightness in his right shoulder, fanned seven over seven innings for the win.

It was a good trade for both teams. When you're trying to win games and make the playoffs, you can't have two guys on your roster that can't throw strikes or get anyone out.

Glad we traded them to the NL, and glad for both of the guys that they're finding success. A bit frustrating, but we all need to get over it.

This is really the attitude you have to have. The Cubs back in 2008 were the best team in baseball and traded for Rich Harden to put them over the top. It was an awesome move at the time, but in retrospect it cost them Josh Donaldson who was just an OK prospect. It didn't turn out well, but it was totally worth the gamble.

Very true. And Josh would have been long gone anyway. He's no youngster.

Yup. Hindsight's 20/20 though.

It's not hindsight. We didn't mess up those trades. We had given every last chance to those two to perform and they did not. Had we continued people would have wondered if we had learned anything from Daniel Cabrera.

Speaking of learning lessons from Daniel Cabrera Radhames Liz pitched last night.
