Three developments in the Roberts/Cubs rumors today:

1) MLBtraderumors.com is reporting the Ceda was not offered.

2) Cintron took a foul ball off the cheekbone. His face swelled. That may effect Cedeno if it would be serious. Doesn't sound that bad though.

3) Dempster got shelled. If that happens again it may cause the Cubs to keep Marquis and trade Dempster. Dempster's contract is a better match for a swap for Payton. Dempster is trying to switch to being a starter which may be harder then some people are making it out to be.

Brew Crew had 801 runs and Cubs without FuKudome and BRob had 752 and Soriano on DL for a month............how do you get 925?They added Cameron has concusion problem and will serve 25 suspension,who else have they added I don't know about that they can give them about 125 runs more that last year?

Well that's pretty big news. It looks like we're back to square one with the 3 players Cedeno, Veal, and Gallagher. If that is the case, then I am back to saying no deal. With Ceda being a part of the deal it seemed like the general consensus was it was time to pull the trigger. I was apart of that group that would have taken the deal with Ceda included.

After thinking that this thing was finally starting to come together with the addition of Ceda, looks again like there is no movement on this deal.
