Those are some damning accusations with no proof. I'm a long time lurker but I've never been a member of this board until now. If you want to trace my IP address or whatever, go right ahead.

Hey now. I understand you that feel like you are shall we say, under fire, but you have to remain calm.

ERodriguez was a fallen prospect, that could have been trade for the moon the offseason before he tanked for us in 2014. His rocket ship is all Red Sox. Just like Jake and the Cubs.

With due respect, I think you are exaggerating the extent to which EdRod's stock had dropped. He had an up and down season with the Baysox, but he had plenty of dominating games. I seem to recall a post from you after you had seen both Rodriguez and one of our other prospects (Davies?) pitch at Bowie, and you said EdRod was head and shoulders better.

This doesn't read like the protestation of an innocent.

That was very true. Head and shoulders. EDRod was a moon shot the off season before though. And their were plenty of deniers. I am not used to front offices taking flyers on my analysis of pitching prospects. I did however tell you all that Strasburg was not Clemens. I did tell you. I could always see his change.

He had some good starts, quite a few poor ones. I'm not sure I'd call any of them dominant, but I'm sure others would quibble. His best start was seven innings, 1 run, three hits, a walk and five Ks. Davies and Berry each had nine starts on that team with a game score over 60, Rodriguez had four. Tyler Wilson had more starts with a game score over 70 than Rodriguez had over 60.

Oh, you and your facts! Yes, I agree Davies and Berry had better seasons than EdRod to that point, and I'm pretty sure I said so myself at the time. I don't think anybody really felt they had passed EdRod as a prospect, however. Someday when I have time I'll see if I can dig up the contemporaneous discussion of this point. I recall arguing that Davies was up there with EdRod, and weams disagreeing, but I never argued Davies had surpassed EdRod, I don't think. I always thought highly of him.

If I recall re: Rodriguez last summer the stuff was not necessarily down much but there was inconsistency in his execution. He was also dealing with a couple of minor injuries in the first half that he played through.

Hope everyone liked the lineup tonight. It's probably what next year's lineup will be. No Davis, no Wieters, Parmelee at 1B, Pearce and Snider at the outfield corners.

It better not be. This is Baltimore not Tampa.

Buck seems to me not to trust Snider at all, he pinch hits for him every chance he gets and he still doesn't start every game vs a RHP.

My only gripe with the lineup is Schoop should absolutely be in the lineup. We have played more guys at more positions than anybody in the league. It has absolutely killed us. This is the problem when we lose two legit starters....we have taken platoon guys and tried to sell them as starters....it hasn't worked.

Maybe we shoulda sacked up and spent some cash....whether it was on Markakis, Cruz or Miller.
