I think the NYY playing at nearly a .700 clip and riding a 7 game win streak has skewed the perception about the O's team so far. Cleveland and KC are the only other AL teams above .600. Things would look a lot different if the O's were 5 games up right now. It is similar to last year and the start that the Rays had. -
What batting order? It’s just a list of positions and players. -
Surprisingly, the Orioles are actually 12th in K% out of team bullpens. The only AL playoff caliber teams above them are CLE and MIN. Of the top 5 teams in the MLB, PHI is 6th, NYY is 24th, LAD is 18th, and ATL is 19th. Kind of surprised the Orioles are that high. Kimbrel is 7th among all qualified relievers in K% which certainly helps, but you also never know what you’re gonna get with him. Coulombe is 59th, Webb is 74th, and Akin is 55th. I agree they still need more swing and miss though and feel good about Elias adding at least one backend piece. -

I don't care either way about what position he plays. I look at this, if there's any real truth to it as a way to try to get him back to Baltimore sooner, and be more beneficial to the team. -

Mostly Jackson Holliday being placed in a position he's never played, combined with a batting order that I disagree with. But yes, the Orioles do have awesome players so I'll give you that. -
