Paredes was evaluated by a hand specialist in Sarasota, Showalter said. And while X-rays taken Thursday revealed no fracture and an MRI performed Friday showed no hidden bone issue or serious ligament damage, there is concern that he might have a slight stress fracture in his wrist, but that won’t be known until some of the swelling in the joint goes down over the next 48 hours.

Welp, there go the angels. It's just going to be the Astros and the Rangers competing for that division, with Seattle coming in a distant 3rd place.

I saw TJ McFarland and Brian Matusz are hurting right now. As much as I'd love to keep multiple lefties in the pen, these two injuries don't worry me so much. More room for Chri Jones and others to step up- that's a good thing.
