A month into the season, we need to start discussing Adam Jones

He has to be hurt right? I heard/read so much that expected him to have his most productive season to date. We're going to be worse on defense with him on the DL, there's no debate, but if the team truly believes we can compete all year, he's gotta rest now and lean on the other guys to be productive
I know this probably won't happen, but...

It'd be interesting if Buck gave Jones two weeks to rest, to get himself feeling better physically and mentally.

During that time, Reimold and Kim would get more ABs. Rickard would play CF, and obviously Trumbo would still be in the mix.

I think this would be good for Jones (even if he didn't like the idea), and it would help to clarify our outfield picture moving forward.

I've heard if he was hurt, that he is now healed.

He is doing much worse this year. 13 PAs/DP. But I am guessing it is at least in part a sample size issue.

The thing is, to hit into a lot of double plays you need to be hitting the ball hard. As you can see from the list, plenty of good players hit into a lot of double plays.

Read my list.

...trying no to stir things up ..... buuuuuuuuut, considering that past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results (read that on a stock management site somewhere) that list is relevant to what Jones is doing this season how?

This team has had 26 GIDP's, so far, and Jones has almost a third of them. Why worry about getting baserunner on in the top of the order if you're just going to keep putting Jones in there to wipe them out?

My favorite Oriole but something is wrong. He needs to go on this DL if he is hurt. Take some time because right now he is not helping the team.

Borbon is prob not the answer though...

Yeah. No. Nice investment professional try though.

Nothing is the answer. He's Adam. He'll work it out.
