There were a few of us suggesting this in May and June and July: that Pedro Alvarez could well end up with a higher OPS than Trumbo because of their seasonality trends.

Well, it's happened as of 5.Aug. Alvarez .262/.595/.857, Trumbo .267/.587/.854.

Eerily similar.

I think Pearce will play in the OF with Nolan. I would DH Trumbo and play Pedro at 1B so they don't have to take Trumbo's bat out of the lineup.

Whatever the lineup is I hope Davis gets the day off. He needs 2 or 3 days off to clear his head. We'll need him to make a run in the playoffs.

Either Trumbo or Pearce could play 1B v RHP. They both have OK splits. Just don't give Alvarez a glove ever.
