He pitched well his first two starts and with offense could have won. No one here expected the guy to be a top of rotation guy. He is a back end guy that will keep you in the game most times but if location is bad can have some rough games.

Exactly. He was simply supposed to eat innings and perform better than Ubaldo. Today, however, he was a bit Ubaldo-like.

He's done better than Pearce. I gave the Orioles a C in the trade deadline rating. I wasn't against either trade just didn't think they moved the needle much.

He is terrible. There's a reason that Boston, Arizona and Seattle gave up on him so quickly. It's cause he f'ing sucks.

Would have rather tried Miranda and seen if we could get 3-4 good starts out of him before the league caught on to him.

Yes. He is SEA's 25th man. 5th starter/middle relief. They see Miley as less valuable than that. That tells me what to expect from Miley and he has pitched just as expected.

Yeah I don't think they thought Miranda was currently better. They saved a good chunk of change and got a guy with a ton of time left.
