Good assessment. With some SP depth, I feel like Buck could manage Miley the way he managed Chen. A Tillman, Bundy, Gausman, Miley, Gallardo rotation isn't that bad. Just 2-3 months too late.

Miley was very good until Buck left him in too long. That is on Buck, not Miley.

If the Os don't clinch, you can look back at this one. Miley did really, for 5 2/3. Buck kept him in too long, the guy hasn't proven over his career that he should get a long leash.

Sucks if they don't come back and win this game

I honestly thought he should have been removed before he faced Headley. Givens was ready by that point. But there's absolutely no rationale for him coming out for the seventh.

I was sure he would be out after 6. Made no sense. That home run changed the complexion of the game. We'll never know what would have happened if Givens had come in at the start of the 7th. Maybe the result would have been the same.

Not a single person on the planet (aside from Buck) would have left Miley in. I wonder if Miley was surprised, too.
