He doesn't speak English. I don't know how he could have known what they were saying...unless you are inferring some kind of supernatural capacity for mind-reading in other languages.

My favorite thing about it is that he hit it with his eyes closed, as you can see in the slow mo replay at 0:29.

Pretty sure he is merely implying that Kim's mind was one step ahead of theirs and he was able to correctly assess just what their plan was. Even that may or may not be true, sometimes you just get a good swing on it.

As I have stated before I'd be very surprised if Kim doesn't speak at least functional English. Learning English is pretty important part of a child's education in South Korea.

I have heard more than once during radio broadcasts that Kim doesn't speak English fluently, but that he speaks enough to talk to his teammates and understands what's going on.
