The dodgers watched their neighbors Golden State go 72-10 and it didn't matter because they lost in the finals.  Britton is Durant.

He's in the starting lineup everyday?

Britton is a nice piece, but he's almost assuredly not worth whatever the O's were asking.

Ok, now it's officially time to rant. How in the world did we go into this trade deadline as sellers and walk away with nothing to show for it, but  a 2 1/2 month starting pitcher rental. Absolutely inexcusable and pathetic.

Gimmie half an hour and I'll join you.

How is it time to rant at 3:41?

Or maybe the O's set the price too high? Zach Britton is still a questionable commodity in 2017. That injury really changed things.

That's definitely true. If he had a normal season, maybe a little easier. Miller hasn't had health issues.

Britton can still rebuild his value if we don't trade him right here.

All this and nothing? Britton, Brach, Castillo and Smith are still Orioles and our minor league system hasn't improved at all?  Ouch unless something changes drastically in the next 20 minutes.

Agreed, if nothing happens I'll probably be officially on the fire Duquette bandwagon.

Isn't Tony Watson the guy that blew 2 saves in 2 nights in Baltimore last month?  That's who the Dodgers want?

That is him.  Little perspective on the difference from Watson to Britton.  Watson has 8 blown saves this year.  Britton has 8 his entire career.

I think you hit the nail on the head. It's fine to set the bar high, but you have to be willing to negotiate based on the market. This team was not in a position to walk away with nothing.
