Adjusted OP for the Active Roster as of this date.

See opening post

The 2018 Opening Day Payroll (ODP) was $154.45M.

Projected 2019 ODP is now $82.12M -- a reduction of $72.23M or just under 47%.

Still pretty high when you consider the lack of talent on the roster.   Of course, Davis, Trumbo, Cashner and Cobb make up about 70% of the payroll.

Sportrac has us at 27 out of 30 in payroll.  We should have another roughly 25 mil coming off after this season. In 2020 I can see us at 29th or dead last behind the Rays, who are more likely than us to up their current 55 mil payroll in 2020.

Considering we will be carrying 20 plus mil. of dead money until 2022 that is pretty amazing.

We won't be players again in free agency until after the 2020 season at the earliest.  I see us carrying a bottom five payroll for quite awhile.
