My preference would be a young up and coming guy who is working under a winning organization. The bigger question here though is, who is going to do the interviewing? Who makes the final decision?

My other preference would be for them top hire an under 50 guy who has scouted, run a business associated with baseball, evaluated baseball prospects for over 20 years, managed baseball teams, interviewed for his thoughts on the Orioles from local radio/TV, has managed 1000s of games on OOTP baseball while developing world series winning organizations, 20+ years of leading people and soldiers, and who has completed studies for improving operations for the Department of Defense! ;)

So how do we get Tony an interview??

Haha, well thankfully they are not in a rush apparently because I'm in the Dominican for a week for my daughter's marriage, but I may be able to make time next week. :D

So THAT'S the holdup with them starting the interview process.

(And congrats on the wedding!)

I am pretty sure we will see something like, no word for the next 2-3 weeks.  At that point theres some vague messaging from the warehouse about internal discussions and staff taking on more to fill the gap.  Brady and one of the sons head to the winter meetings, we get super antsy because theres still no manager in January.  February comes and maybe we interview Dusty Baker if its clear hes not returning to baseball next season and we get antsier.  As Valentine's Day approaches theres an announcement that we've narrowed it down to 2-3 internal choices for manager and we end up with Sam Perlozzo 2.0, Bordick, or something as awful.  No clarity on who the actual current or future GM is heading into Spring Training.
