I think he's already been paid his commission.

Aren't agents paid as the players are paid and receive their checks from MLB?

Davis is going to play an important  role in the Orioles chase of the number one pick. Play him and keep Mancini in left until the Orioles have at least a double digit lead on the race to the bottom.

I’m certain he breaks camp as the starting 1st baseman but his long is his leash before released or he is riding the pine?

I think asking him to do it at all is a bit much. If a guy seriously outperforms his contract do teams ever say “here’s some more money, great job?” It’s not like he’s a malcontent he just seems to have lost the ability to hit a baseball. That contract is on the O’s.

The team. My understanding was they cut all the checks for salary less taxes, agent's fees etc. all at once.

Well the last one was 242 pages long and nobody had posted in it for three whole days.  Yet somebody starts a new one and magically everybody is energized to make the same points they've been making for roughly a year now ALL OVER AGAIN!  There must be a Phd. thesis in there somewhere.

I love guaranteed contracts. Maybe Tony Clark should keep an eye on that. There's nothing like paying for a ticket and watching players playing because teams are trying to justify the mistakes that they make.
