And one of those teams has practically clinched its division, and the other will likely be eliminated by the time we play them.

I'm going with 54 because of poor starting pitching exhausting the pen. But maybe Detroit tanks or Seattle is thoroughly demoralized and we reach 56?

54-108 is still a nice 7-game improvement over last year's collapse with a much more expensive and illustrious roster. 108 is an important number in Buddhism. it may signal the breaking of the karma tying us to the previous regime.
