I saw that today and was blown away that he got $3mil guaranteed after his past season. Also am so confused as to what the A's are doing, but I guess you need warm bodies at 9 spots.

Probably a smart play for him; he's played there before so he has familiarity on his side and it looks like they're going to be doing some mixing and matching in the infield if they don't sign someone else after they lost out on Dansby Swanson.
