Well, it's clear they liked him better because they claimed him and not De Los Santos.  But the latter is a couple years younger and has just converted from a starter to a RP.  Perhaps there's some unknown upside to be had there.  Yes, Kriske has the higher K rate but De Los Santos is no slouch in that department.  I'd just like to hear Elias' rationale.

Did De Los Santos have an option year remaining?
