Agreed nothing wrong with gauging interest and especially if a team offers up a trade package that values Cedric as a consistent 5+ WAR player.

They wanted him before and have talked about adding multiple OFers.  It’s essentially trading Anderson for him.  They save money and gain a year of service time.  
 

It’s a fair deal.  Anderson probably has more on field value right now and Santander has more contractual value.  Both had down years in 2021.

The DH coming to the NL could help too.

Gotta listen. Much as I love having him, he's NOT a 5 WAR player, he's not a 30 HR guy. He's a very great CFer but we have others.

Is that a done deal or contingent on the new CBA? Would make a huge difference.

True. Everyone should be available, FOR THE RIGHT PRICE. 

I believe Cedric is for real, and like with Means, I would need a young ready or nearly ready replacement, that would have to be part of the package for Mullins.
