Yusniel Diaz 2022

He takes hacks.  Def gets his moneys worth.  I’m starting to like this guy.  He hit a laser off Small right after Adley.  If he could stay healthy he looks like he could be be a lot of fun to watch.  He has sneaky speed for a big guy also.  Won’t get my hopes up but it’s fun to imagine.

I liked what I saw of Diaz today.   He showed a good eye and the hit he had was scorched.   Stole a couple of bags, too.   Rooting for him to stay healthy.

I know everyone thinks highly of Buck Britton, but I gotta question the wisdom of having Diaz stealing multiple bases after a hamstring injury. Or walking across a room without the accompaniment of a physician.

At least he’s not being “slow played”. Quite tired of hearing that term when it comes to our prospect development.

If he’s he’s truly healthy, then let him run free. Literally, in this case.

Glad to see him healthy and performing!

He played CF earlier in the week.  He looks like he move a pretty well for a big guy.  He looks like he’s in a good place.  He swings at some questionable pit he’s sometimes but he is becoming a difficult out.

If the O's want to get back to a 4-man bench that includes a reserve CF, I hope they consider Diaz over McKenna. You lose some speed, but you gain a (hopefully more) potent bat. Not that he should be relegated to the bench, but they could figure out a nice rotation and give the OFers some more rest.

Diaz looking real good and good obp. If he stays hot, I’d make the call over Nevin if Bannon can hold down the fort and hit better than Guiterrez. I still like him and would like to see him get one last shot.

No reason for Nevin to be playing LF over him for any amount of time. As long as Mountcastle is banged up, Diaz should be up. The rest of the bats our 3B fodder.
