Nice! Long overdue. I would put no timetable on him. None. Let the kid play. It’s just Delmarva clearly is not helping his development at this point. Let’s take it one step at a time.

Clue #3: although normally Monday is an off day in the minors, they’re playing and switching cities tomorrow, with Aberdeen visiting Salem after being home this week.

He’s batting .450 with .1100 ops. That’s why. You said 3 weeks. No way I promote him to Bowie just because it’s 3 weeks, that’s insanity.

Well he played for Delmarva today, so maybe they are a week away.

He needs to be moved up to Aberdeen ASAP. This would give him time to earn a promotion to Bowie by the end of the season

I don't think the term "bust" will ever be appropriate here given the medical issue he went through.

That being said, taking all of that out of the equation, an advanced college bat would be expected to dominate low-A.  Obviously there are too many other factors here to fully evaluate but let's see how he does against more appropriate competition first.

There was never any true cause to call him a bust.  The argument that existed (and still does) is the idea of was he the correct player to take and that discussion occurs whether he’s hurt or not.
